Crystal Black Shrimp is a selectively derived species of shrimp having a saturated white and black colour.
Depending on the predominance in the bloom of black or white (figure), shrimp are divided into classes.
We offer S-SS mix classes for sale. They are kept in the same aquarium and the offspring will have the same shrimp.
As a member of Caridina Shrimp, the Crystal Black Shrimp requires soft and acidic water.
The preferred way of keeping Caridina Shrimps is to use remineralized RO water and aqua soil as substrate.
Besides, sponge filters, driftwood, almond leaves, and quality food are popular for Caridina Shrimps care and color enhancing.
Black Crystal keeping
This type of shrimp reaches a size of 2.5-3 cm in length. Males usually remain slightly smaller than females. The lifespan of the Black Crystal is about two years. The main requirement for successful maintenance and breeding of Crystal Black shrimp is the stability of water parameters.
Every 5-6 weeks, the female forms up to 30 eggs, from which hatch already formed fry 1.5-2 mm in size.
