Golden Tiger Shrimp / Tangarine Tiger Shrimp

Golden Tiger keeping

This type of shrimp reaches a size of 2.5-3 cm in length. Males remain slightly smaller than females.

The lifespan of the Golden Tiger is about two years.

The main requirement for successful keeping and breeding of Tangarine Tiger shrimp is the stability of water parameters.

Every 5-6 weeks, the female collects up to 30 eggs, from which hatch already formed fry 1.5-2 mm in size. However, only some of them will live to puberty.

Particular attention should be paid to the availability of shelters for fry and molting shrimp. Small shelters, Cholla cactus tubes, and moss meadows are perfect shelters . After molting, shrimp have a soft shell, they need to sit for several hours in a cozy place until the new shell becomes hard.

Moss is an excellent shelter and pasture for fry. In addition, it is desirable to have in the aquarium leaves of Indian almonds (Ketapanga), alder cones.
