Pure Red Line Shrimp is a highly selectively bred Crystal Red shrimp that is pure, meaning they had never been bred with golden bee shrimp so they don't produce a golden bee offspring. In general, they have a more vibrant color (in both red and white), and a thicker shell.
As a member of Caridina Shrimp, the PRL Shrimp requires soft and acidic water.
The preferred way of keeping Caridina Shrimps is to use remineralized RO water and aqua soil as substrate.
Besides, sponge filters, driftwood, almond leaves, and quality food are popular for Caridina Shrimps care and color enhancing.
The diet should include plant and protein foods.
Red Crystal keeping
This type of shrimp reaches a size of 2.5-3 cm in length. Males usually remain slightly smaller than females. The lifespan of the Red Crystal is about two years. The main requirement for successful maintenance and breeding of Crystal Red shrimp is the stability of water parameters.
Every 5-6 weeks, the female forms up to 30 eggs, from which hatch already formed fry 1.5-2 mm in size.
