Rotala ramosior Florida
Rotala ramosior ‘Florida’ is a rare and highly decorative aquarium stem plant valued for its compact growth and attractive coloration. Under good conditions, the growing tips can develop pink, reddish, or purple shades, creating a striking accent in the aquarium.
It is a relatively slow-growing plant that produces slender, upright stems. It is best planted in groups in the midground or background. Regular trimming encourages lateral shoots and helps create a dense, attractive group.
Care requirements:
- Type: Stem plant
- Placement: Midground / background
- Lighting: Medium to high
- CO₂: Recommended for active growth and vibrant coloration
- Temperature: Approximately 22–28 °C
- pH: 5.5–7.5
- Hardness: Soft to medium
- Growth rate: Slow to moderate
For healthy growth and good coloration, the plant requires sufficient lighting, a stable CO₂ supply, and balanced nutrition. Under favorable conditions, the growing tips develop more intense coloration.
Tip: To create a dense bush, regularly trim the growing tips and replant healthy cuttings next to the mother plants.
